Article Snippet: For fermentation, the seed culture was inoculated into a 5-L bioreactor (Shanghai Baoxing Bio-Engineering Equipment, Shanghai, China) at a 10 % (v/v) inoculum ratio, with the bioreactor having a working volume of 2 L. During the aerobic growth phase, the air flow rate was maintained at 2 L/min, the agitator speed was controlled between 300 and 550 rpm, the dissolved oxygen level was sustained above 60 %, the temperature was regulated at 37 °C, and the pH was maintained at 6.8 via the addition of 15 % ammonia solution.
